Co-Founder, Catalina Stirling, and Trainer, Meghan Longhurst, work with most of the dogs at Jasmine’s House.
Catalina Stirling:
Stirling Dog! is owned and operated by Catalina Stirling of Frederick, Maryland. Also the Co-Founder of Jasmine’s House, Catalina’s dedication to rescue animals in conjunction with her benevolent disposition have naturally drawn her to the world of dog training and behavioral education. She has an extensive history of animal interaction in her personal and professional life, from rescue work to the ownership of a successful dog walking business in San Fransisco, CA several years ago. Catalina can’t recall a time in recent history when she hasn’t been heavily involved with the 4-legged world.
Catalina specializes in tough dog introductions. She’s integrated some of the most unlikely-to-be-successful dogs into homes in recent years and has a special knack for communicating with out four-legged friends. Catalina trained as a behaviorist under Debbie Winkler CABC, CPDT-KA, Trainer and Certified Behaviorist at Humane Domain, and another wonderful friend of Jasmine’s House.

Meghan Longhurst:
Meghan is the owner of Canine Lifestyle Academy, LLC, a dog training business located in Carroll County, Maryland which focuses on what dog owners really want – a dog that just behaves, without too much hassle! CLA offers something for everyone: for very hands-on owners, Meghan runs a group class in Westminster with open enrollment so people can start anytime and miss a class without falling behind; for people and dogs who need more one-on-one, CLA has different packages of in-home private training; and for busy families who just don’t have time to train, Meghan will come to your house several times a week while you’re at work, train your dog to the level you want, and then teach you how to maintain the behavior when she’s gone.
Meghan is thankful everyday to be working with Jasmine’s House. When she was an apprentice trainer, the first dog she worked with was a pittie puppy named King. Since then, she has had nothing but positive experiences with pit bulls, and has fallen in love with their joyful spirits. Her goal as a trainer and as a person is to create as many positive pit bull experiences for others as she can, with the hopes that one day everyone will look at pit bulls and see what she sees: a great dog.
